Dual education
The dual education system (ŠVD) is provided to pupils in the 3rd and 4rd year of study:
- High School of Mechanical Engineering in Kysucké Nové Mesto
(SOŠ KNM), - High School of Mechanical Engineering in Považská Bystrica (SOŠ PB)
It takes place in our modern production hall in Bytča. We have excellent conditions and dedicated professional staff who introduce the pupils to modern technologies and German know-how. This gives them a unique opportunity to see how well what they have learned at school works in practice.
Scheidt & Bachmann style dual
We tailor the dual education programme individually to each pupil. It progresses through all departments of production, quality and logistics. He gets to know the individual working procedures, logistics processes, learns to work with modern technologies and work tools under professional supervision.
In addition to developing these hard skills, we also focus on working with soft skills, which are important for professional growth. We have therefore created the "Dual Start-up Leadership SDV" project, which aims to familiarise pupils with the work of a production team leader and to develop their age-appropriate leadership skills. Pupils learn the basics of working in a group while learning to use tools to manage discussions through games and practical exercises.
What the graduate will gain
Successful students gain a certificate of completion of professional work practice as part of the program “fit4future”. The guarantor is the Slovak-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with German companies operating in Slovakia.
The program has clear rules and motivates pupils to work on themselves. A student who has completed professional work practice and successfully fulfils the conditions of the certificate later has more chance to get a good job.
Graduation doesn't have to be a farewell
If the pupils like it with us, they get the chance to become our colleagues after school. If they go on to university, they can also continue their studies with us thanks to trainee programs that prepare them for managerial production positions.
